Our programme for 2008/9: Bernstein, Brass, and Behold the Sea!

We are a friendly, non-auditioning choir with high performance standards. We have an exciting programme for 2008/9 under our conductor, Gavin Carr.

On November 22 in Bath Abbey, two 20th century American choral masterpieces – Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Morton Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. On March 21 2009 we join the Bristol Brass Consort in a programme ranging from Purcell to Rutter.

Then on July 11th, 2009, we combine forces with the Athenaeum Singers of Warminster and the Mid-Somerset Orchestra to perform Vaughan-Williams’ massive Sea Symphony in Wells Cathedral, all proceeds in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
